wimblewild

FOR PARENTS · EARLY PREVIEW

A little help for the adventure.

Start together

Wimblewild is a short math adventure for ages 7–10. Choose “Play the woodland adventure” to explore a connected story with Pip. Select a location sign to move there. Solve three challenges at the treehouse, then three at the bridge and three at the crystal hollow. Each restored place changes the scene and opens the next path. Repairing the bridge introduces Flick, whose light reveals the crystal trail.

It is free to explore this playtest. There are no purchases, advertisements, chat, or competitive leaderboards.

Try, learn, and continue

In the story, an incorrect answer offers a strategy and another try. Solve the challenge to earn three seeds, then choose the action below the explanation to continue. At the end of a location, that action restores it. Only the first submitted answer counts in the practice report, so correcting an answer does not become an independently correct result. A solved challenge and any hints used are saved, even if you leave before continuing.

Choose a comfortable pace

Story encounters always have three challenges. For the separate quick-practice trails, choose 3, 5, or 8 questions in the parent guide. A hint offers a strategy, and the speaker button can read the question aloud. There is no countdown. You can leave the story and resume the same challenge later. Returning to the map from a quick-practice quest ends that practice session, but answers already checked stay in the report. Quick practice awards effort seeds for every checked answer and a keepsake when finished; it does not skip story locations.

What each place practices

Each topic has three practice levels. The game uses recent answers to adjust difficulty. It is a focused practice tool, not a complete curriculum, diagnostic test, or a promise of improved grades.

Read the practice report

“Independently correct” means a correct answer without opening a hint. The fraction shown compares those answers with the last ten attempts in that topic, or fewer if the explorer has just started. Hint use is useful information about where to practice together; it is not a penalty.

Keep or move progress

This version saves one explorer in the current browser, including the story location, restored places, current challenge, and companion progress. Use “Download progress” in the Grown-up guide to keep a backup. On another device, open Wimblewild, choose that file in “Bring your progress with you,” and confirm the replacement. Download the destination device’s progress first if you want to keep it too.

Private browsing, clearing site data, or using a different browser may hide or remove local progress. There is no server account to recover it from. Downloaded backups stay wherever you save them until you delete them.
